End of the Year Check-in

Spring is definitely in the air! With all the year end events, students are certainly beginning to get excited. However, we still have six weeks of school left and much testing still to complete. We'd appreciate it if you could have a conversation or two about school and learning expectations as we close out this year. Please encourage your child to continue to stay focused on doing his/her best work, persevering through difficult challenges socially and academically, and staying the course through the end. We thank you for your support in helping your child finish the year strong.

Multiplication and Division Facts

Please have your child continue reviewing their multiplication and division facts at home weekly.  Please ask your child which level they are working to pass this week. There are several students that have been at the same level for several days now. We will celebrate everyone's hard work to learn their multiplication and division facts with an ice cream party at the end of the year. :)

M-STEP Testing

Math M-Step continues this week! We are proud of the efforts of our students to do their best. The schedule is below. There is really no way students can "study" for these tests, but you can help your child be ready for these by:

  • Making sure your child has a good night's rest.
  • Making sure your child eats a healthy breakfast.
  • Providing a positive send off to school in the morning.
  • Not scheduling appointments on these days.

Please note that during the M-STEP testing, all electronic devices, including cell phones, smart watches, and Bluetooth headphones (or any headphones not used for testing), must be turned off and stored away from the work area.

Because of this, we encourage you to keep phones and smart watches at home on testing days. If your student brings one of these devices to school, the device should remain in the backpack and be powered off. Any devices that are not in backpacks will be collected by the teacher and stored in the teacher's area until testing is completed.  Thank you for your assistance with this matter.
