Social Studies Test

We are nearing the end of Chapter 3, Early Michigan Explorers, and will have a Social Studies test this Wednesday.  A study guide will be sent home on Monday so your child can review the information we have learned.  


New Math Unit - Fractions

In this unit, students develop an understanding of fractions as numbers and of fraction equivalence by representing fractions on diagrams and number lines, generating equivalent fractions, and comparing fractions. Watch this family support video to learn more about what students will learn as well as ways you can help at home.

M-STEP Testing

Third grade M-STEP testing is quickly approaching. The schedule is below. There is really no way students can "study" for these tests, but you can help your child be ready for these by:

  • Making sure your child has a good night's rest.
  • Making sure your child eats a healthy breakfast.
  • Providing a positive send off to school in the morning.
  • Not scheduling appointments on these days.

Weekly Specials Schedule

Our specials are on a Monday-Friday schedule and the same time each day. 3rd grade specials begin right at 9:25 every day. Wednesdays will be used as make-up days for missed specials, extra computer lessons, music practice days, etc.

A strong foundation of math fact fluency leads to an easier ability to master future math concepts such as multi-digit multiplication and division.  As a third grader, your child will be working toward mastering their multiplication facts through 100 this year.
