March 27

Upcoming Events:

Week of April 3 - Swimming at the HS

April 19 - 2nd Grade Performance

Spring Weather

As temperatures begin to warm up, please remind your child that they will need a coat for recess if the temperature has not reached 60 degrees.  If they are playing and get warm, they are asked to tie their coat around their waist.

3rd Grade Swimming
We will start swimming the week of April 3rd. Permission slips will be sent home on March 27th.
Please return the form by Wednesday, March 29th.  Your child will need a swimsuit, towel, and plastic bag (for the wet suit and towel).  Girls with long hair will need a rubber band to tie their hair back. Goggles are fine. This water safety and swimming course offers instruction in survival swimming. Water related emergencies and lifesaving skills are also discussed. Students will work on skills in independent swimming movements, water entry, buoyancy, and floating positions. The schedule for each class is listed below.

March is Reading Month

Third grade is sharing in the love of books by participating in a March Reading Madness Tournament of Books. Fiction and Nonfiction will face off in this tournament as we read a variety of both throughout the month and vote on our favorites. Will it be fiction or nonfiction on top? We have read all the books and have narrowed our selection down to the final 4. We'll continue with our reading madness when we return from break.
