Daily Breakfast

Just a reminder...Anyone wishing to eat breakfast should arrive early and can enter the building at 8:10 through the gym doors located off of the playground. Bus students should go right to the gym to get breakfast as soon as they arrive.  We begin our day right at 8:30 and have had students still wandering in with breakfast at that time.  Please check in with your child to be sure they are getting finished with their breakfast by 8:30.  Thank you so much!


Back to School Night

We are excited to invite you to Lincoln School for our Back to School Night. This is a night
that is just for parents. Our time is 6:45-7:30 pm. We will be meeting with all third grade families
in the Media Center to start, then we will bring you up to our classrooms. We hope you can make it!


Homework

On Monday, we will be handing out our homework sheet and discussing our expectations. Our biggest goal with homework is for students to read every night for 20 minutes. We will be discussing this further with you at Back to School Night as well, but look for the sheet coming home on Monday.


Snacks/Water Bottles

Just a reminder...please send a healthy snack for your child, as well as a water bottle that can be refilled throughout the day. Thank you!

**Mrs. Peek's room has students with severe allergies, so please follow this list when sending in snack items for the classroom: Safe Snack List.

Weekly Specials Schedule

Our specials are on a Monday-Friday schedule and the same time each day. 3rd grade specials begin right at 9:25 every day. Wednesdays will be used as make-up days for missed specials, extra computer lessons, music practice days, etc.

A strong foundation of math fact fluency leads to an easier ability to master future math concepts such as multi-digit multiplication and division.  As a third grader, your child will be working toward mastering their multiplication facts through 100 this year.   3rd Grade News Week 13 December 12th - December 16th Weekly Reminders: Wednesday, Dec. 14th - Nutcracker Performances (2:00 Lincoln, 6:30pm High School, be there at 6:00pm) Upcoming Events: Thursday, Dec. 15th - Ice Skating- Bacolor (10:50-11:35) and Ettinger (1:45-2:30) Friday, Dec. 16th - Peek Ice Skating (10:50-11:35) Friday, Dec. 16th - Grinch Day Thursday, Dec. 22nd - Holiday Concert 9am-10:30 (Please be on time to school, as we will be bussing over right away) Nutcracker Our third graders will be presenting The Nutcracker for families and friends on Wednesday, December 14th at 6:30 .
